To get enrolled as a member, a person shall fill up and sign the membership application form. |
| Admission to the library | Only library members are allowed to use the library. Students have to wear the prescribed uniform with identity card. |
| Property counter | Personal belongings such as bag, umbrella, textbooks, note books, record books, printed materials, Laptop etc are strictly not allowed in to the library. Personal belongings should be placed in property counter at user’s responsibility. |
| Loan Privileges | The members are entitled to take books on loan at a time as given below
A member who loses a reader's ticket shall make a written report to the librarian. A duplicate reader's ticket shall be issued on payment of fee Rs.30/ for each duplicate ticket after a lapse of three months from the date of such notice. Members shall be responsible for the misuse of borrower's card. |
| Condition of loan/lending | The loan period will be 14 days. Borrowers must satisfy themselves about the physical condition of the book before borrowing. Otherwise they shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning. Reference books, rare books, periodical publications are not ordinarily issued on loan. Books in special demand may be lent for a shorter period as decided by the librarian. Books issued once will never be returned to the library on the same day under any circumstances. |
| Renewals | Books can be renewed for a further period of one week, if it is not reserved. Renewal of library book is limited to once only. |
| Overdue Charges | An overdue charge of Rs.2/- per day per book will be charged if a book is kept beyond the period of loan. Members who repeatedly fail to return books on due date will lose the privilege of membership of the library. |
